Although the weather is starting to get colder, it doesn’t stop us from having fun here at Heaton House. Throughout Autumn and Winter, we make sure that our activity calendar is still full of fun activities to do inside. Lots of games are played and we enjoy crafting together with lots of sticking and glueing, painting, arranging and art production. If it’s particularly cold and miserable outside, we sometimes like to cosy up with a hot drink and a good film!

All our activities are carefully planned to make sure that they are stimulating for our residents. One of our favourite things to do is flower arranging and we always like to engage in conversation and encourage residents to remember fond memories.
Just because it is colder outside during this time of year, it doesn’t mean we can’t still enjoy our beautiful garden. We have lots of bird feeders that are kept topped up and our large picture window means that our residents can watch the birds from the warmth and comfort of the lounge. Or, if they’re feeling particularly adventurous, they can head outside into our heated summerhouse to enjoy the garden while still keeping warm. Often with a lovely warm cup of tea, of course!

Whatever the weather, we always welcome visitors to see their friends or relatives that are staying with us. Or to join in with the fun activities that are happening. At the moment, due to COVID-19 regulations, we are asking that visitors refer to our visitor’s policy before coming to visit.
Unusually, we currently have three vacancies at Heaton House, a single en-suite ground floor room and two first floor single rooms with en-suites that are next door to each other. If you’re interested, please call 01903 700251 and ask for Sally or Sue. Alternatively, you can email us at care@heaton-house.net.
